Jacques Greg-Belobo, vocal
Former member of the Dresden Semperoper ensemble and guest in other opera houses, Jacques-Greg Belobo has worked with famous conductors such as Zubin Metha, James Levine, Myung-Whun Chung, or Fabio Luisi. Recent performances include: Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Banco (Macbeth), Escamillo (Carmen), The King (Aïda), Biterolf (Tannhäuser) and Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) at the Semperoper, Angelotti (Tosca) in Nice, as well as Escamillo (Carmen) at the Vienna Volksoper, in Kiev and at the Japan Tour in 2014. Recently he was The King in Verdi’s Aïda in the Copenhagen Royal Opera House, Le Roi/Le Chancelier in Gounod’s Cinq-Mars at the Theater An der Wien and the Opéra Royal de Versailles where he also sang Méhul’s Uthal in May, he sang alongside Inva Mula for a Bizet program at the Philharmonie in Paris under the baton of Jean-Claude Casadesus.
